Dustin Strand won his second NLRA feature in three weeks at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. The win is his second of the season with the NLRA, and the twenty-third of his career, which is one win behind Ricky Weiss for fourth on the series all-time wins list.

This Thursday night, August 20th, the NLRA will race for the second time in three weeks, and for the final time for the 2020 season, at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. This will be the twenty-first visit by the series to the three-eighths mile oval on the Norman County Fairgrounds.

The series made it's return, for the first time in nearly three years, to the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN last week, and it was Dustin Strand who scored the win in the No. 71 Q&Z Plumbing & Heating Millenium SRT. It was Strand's first Late Model win at the three-eights mile oval on the Norman County Fairgrounds since 2012, and his 22nd series win overall, fifth best on the all-time list.

The race is scheduled to be the twentieth visit by the series to the three-eighths mile, semi-banked, dirt oval on the Norman County Fairgrounds.
Speedway Shots photo. The schedule for the 23rd season of NLRA racing has been released, and it currently features 16 events at eight area tracks. The season is set to begin on Friday night, June the 5th, at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. This will be the first of five visits to the Bullring in 2020.

The stretch will feature a return for the first time in eleven years to the Sheyenne River Speedway in Lisbon, ND. The race is scheduled to be the twelfth for the series on the quarter-mile oval on the Ransom County Fairgrounds on Lisbon's west end. The Northern Late Model Racing Association's 20th season of action will feature 17 big events during this anniversary season. In 1998, the Grand Forks, ND based racing series debuted with four races on its' initial slate of races, setting a foundation that the series continues to build off of today. The 2017 season will begin on June 16th, as the series will co-headline events at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Both series will make the 80 mile trip south to race together again at the Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo the following night.
The NLRA is coming off a four race stretch, which started last Wednesday night at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN, helping kick off the 121st Norman County Fair.
The stretch kicked off last Wednesday night, as heat winners Kevin Robertson, driver of the No. 10R Nugget Vending MasterSbilt and Adam Fischer, and his No. 30 Northwest Auto Body Rocket, lead the field to the green flag in the feature. Iron Ranger Jeffrey Massingill, driver of the No. 6M Tesar Racing Engines Club 29, got off to a great start on the bottom of the track, and lead the field into turn one from the third starting spot. |
